David L. Fried, MD Medical Director/ Chief Principal Investigator
Dr. Fried serves as Medical Director for Omega Medical Research as well as the Principal Investigator on a significant number of our clinical drug trials. Dr. Fried has served in this capacity since 1996. Dr. Fried has been Principal Investigator on over 350 clinical drug trials. Dr. Fried is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University. |
Lynne A. Haughey, MSN, FNP-BC Executive Vice President/COO/ Sub-Investigator
Ms. Haughey has over 17 years of clinical research experience, having co-founded Omega Medical Research in 1993. Ms. Haughey serves as Sub-Investigator on most trials at Omega, with over 400 trials completed in this capacity. Additionally, Ms. Haughey oversees the clinical research staff of coordinators and assistants, the Patient Recruitment department and the Quality Assurance Program at Omega. Ms. Haughey previously served as the Director of Critical Care Nursing at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, RI and was the Director of Stratogen Health, a comprehensive HIV/AIDS patient care center, prior to founding Omega Medical Research. |
Richard K. Ohnmacht, MD Pediatric Medicine
Dr. Ohnmacht is a Board Certified Pediatrician who has been in private practice since 1991. Dr. Ohnmacht has participated as a Principal Investigator at Omega Medical Research since 2001, having conducted over 25 pediatric research studies. Dr. Ohnmacht also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Brown University. In 1997, Dr. Ohnmacht was named Best Doctor in America/Northeast Region in Pediatric Medicine. |
Mary Catherine DeRosa, MD Gynecologic Medicine
Dr. DeRosa is a Board Certified OBGYN practicing since 1982. Dr. DeRosa has participated as an Investigator in Women’s Health Studies at Omega Medical Research since 2006. Dr. DeRosa is a Clinical Assistant Professor of OBGYN thru the Brown University School of Medicine and received the Faculty Teacher of the Year Award in 1999 from the Brown University School of Medicine’s OBGYN Department. |
Thomas E. Sepe, MD Gastroenterology
Dr. Sepe is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University Medical School. Dr. Sepe is a founding member of University Gastroenterology, the largest GI practice in Rhode Island. Dr. Sepe has been a Principal Investigator on numerous GI Studies since 2001. Dr. Sepe has been recognized by his peers as one of the top Gasteroenterologists in the State of RI. |
Eric B. Newton, MD Gastroenterology
Dr. Newton is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterolgy. Dr. Newton is a member of University Gastroenterology, and has been involved with clinical research since 2009. |
Joseph V. Centofanti, MD Neurology
Dr. Centofanti is a Board Certified Neurologist and serves as an Assistant Clinical Instructor in the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at the Brown University School of Medicine. Dr. Centofanti has served as an Investigator in Neurology and Pain studies at Omega Medical Research since 2007. |
